Virginia Mae Wilmot, 86, passed away on June 26, 2014, with her loving family at her side. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice while residing at the Turtle and Crane facility in Idaho Falls. She was born Virginia Mae McCullough, January 28, 1928, in Anthony, Kansas, to George Daniel McCullough and Erlene Mae (Guthridge) McCullough. Virginia spent her early childhood years growing up on the family farm in Anthony before moving with her mother to Boise, Idaho, where she attended and graduated from Boise High School. It was during high school in Boise that she met the love of her life, Dewey Lester Wilmot. They dated during high school until Dewey joined the U.S. Navy and served in the final Pacific Ocean battles of World War II. Upon Dewey's return from the war they were married on February 19, 1946 in Winnemucca, NV. Following their marriage, Virginia and Dewey moved to Idaho Falls where they raised three children; Daniel Lynn Wilmot, Deborah Sue (Wilmot) Cullison, and Robyn Leslie (Wilmot) Wobig. Virginia was a devoted wife and mother and an active member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church of Idaho Falls. Virginia enjoyed fly-fishing and camping with her family, and she loved teaching Women's Bible Studies and conducting home Bible Studies with her husband Dewey. Virginia is survived by her husband, Dewey Wilmot (Idaho Falls), her children: Daniel Wilmot (Boise), Deborah Cullison and Robyn Wobig (Idaho Falls), 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. The family would like to express special thanks for the care and kindness provided to Virginia in her final years by the management and staff of Turtle and Crane facility and by Hands of Hope Hospice. A memorial service for Virginia will be held at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, 5600 S. Holmes Ave, Idaho Falls, at 2:00 p.m. July 26, 2014.
