Obituary

View Reid Fullmer Video Tribute W. Reid Fullmer, 74, of Ammon, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born August 23, 1938, in Roberts, Idaho, to Estus Reid Fullmer and Theola Mae Ferguson Fullmer. He grew up in Idaho Falls. In 1956, he graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He attended the LDS Church College of Hawaii where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in business. He served in the United States Navy from August 27, 1957 to August 25, 1961. On October 12, 1961, he married Sandra Renee Warner in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She passed away April 18, 1999. On July 16, 1999, he married Barbara Slack Coulson in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. In addition to Idaho Falls, he lived in Laie, Hawaii; Grantsville, Utah; Pocatello and Ammon, Idaho. He was employed with Farmers Insurance, first as an underwriter, and later as an insurance agent, and most recently as a driver with Alamo Car Rental. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he held several positions including Bishopric counselor, High Priest Group Leader, Executive Secretary, Ward Clerk, Assistant Webelos Leader, and Temple worker. He volunteered as an LDS Representative at the hospital. Reid enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, politics, riding his scooter, tilling gardens and clearing snow from driveways for widows and friends. He loved to do kind things for others without getting caught. He had a sense of humor that always made everyone smile. Reid is survived by the following: wife, Barbara Fullmer of Ammon; Sons: David Reid (Catherine) Fullmer of Valencia, California, and Howard Warren (Margaret) Fullmer of Springville, Utah; Daughter: Malia Fullmer of Pocatello; Step-sons: Brian Lee (Toni) Coulson of Idaho Falls, and Lee R. (Heidi) Coulson of Meridian, Idaho; Step-daughters: Cari Lee Coulson (Dustin) Cahoon of West Jordan, Utah; LeeAnn Coulson (Monico) Trujillo and Aleesa Coulson (Mark) Burgess both Kaysville, Utah; GayLee Coulson (Doug) Greer of Meridian, Idaho; 33 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Reid was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; a brother, Farrell and a sister, Vonnie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Ammon LDS 15th Ward, 1925 E. 49th South, with Bishop Ken Louk officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m., prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Ammon Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Military Honor Guard.
