William Kim Conner was born on June 19, 1949, in Burley, Idaho, to William Keith Conner and Elda Jean Anderson, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Kim as he was known by family and friends, had one sister, Leslie Kathleen, and one brother, Adrian Kyle. He enlisted in the U.S. Army with his step-brother (and life long friend) Greg Jensen in 1969, where he served as tank mechanic until he was honorably discharged in 1972. That same year he enlisted in the National Guard, until he retired in 1990.

In 1972, he married Elaine McClaskey, with whom he would have 5 children: William Kelly, Cynthia Lynne, Kimberly Gail, Daniel Craig, and Bryan Lane Conner. They divorced in 1980 and remarried in 1981 and divorced a final time in 1988.

Kim used his army experience to find employment as a mechanic throughout his life. Scraped knuckles and dirty fingernails decorated his hands as the smell of oil, grease and cigarettes perfumed his adult life. Known for his jovial and accepting demeanor he was loved by many. He loved very simply and struggled with alcoholism and addiction.

He grew up in the faith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and raised his children in that faith. He believed in forgiveness and grace.

He is survived by his children, sister and half-brothers: Kevin and Klint Keller.

Private services will be held at a later date at the Eastern Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Blackfoot, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
