December 5, 1928 – April 16, 2006
He was born December 5, 1928, in Coshocton, Ohio, to Phillips S. Decker and Elizabeth Tumblin Decker. He grew up and attended schools in Coshocton and Cleveland, Ohio. He served with the U.S. Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean War.
He moved to Idaho Falls in 1953 where he met and fell in love with Dorothy Elise Jorgensen. They were married June 5, 1954, in Idaho Falls. It was here they made there home until they moved to Blackfoot in 1963.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, stamp collecting, leather crafts and he enjoyed the love and companionship of his Pomeranians.
Bill was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was loved dearly; he will be missed by all.
He is survived by the following: spouse, Dorothy Elise Decker; son, James Marvin (Verla) Decker; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Decker all of Blackfoot; son, Leonard Rex (Deanna) Decker of South Jordan, Utah; 5 grandchildren: Shanon Ridenour, Ben and Allison Decker, Gerald, and Jason Jackman; and 7 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team following the services at the mortuary.
