Obituary

William "Bill" Hardy Lushbaugh, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 15, 2015, at his home of cancer. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born February 26, 1953, in Great Lakes, Illinois, the son of Edwin Hardy Lushbaugh and Frances Marie Schwartz Lushbaugh. He spent most of his life in San Diego, California until he moved to Idaho Falls in 2002. He attended and graduated from Samuel F. B. Morse High School where he graduated in 1971. He attended college only a short time. On July 3, 1996, he married Brenda Jo Good in San Diego where they welcomed their only child in January 1997. Bill was a handyman and had his own painting company until the economy crashed in 2009. He worked for Conrad and Bischoff until his health forced him to retire. He was a good Christian man. Bill was an Assistant Cub Scout leader for one year and took great pride in serving. In San Diego, he ran Adams Ave. Street Fair with his good friend, Scott Kessler. He liked music such as guitar and drums; he painted in many fine places; jewelry making and at one time had his own jewelry store. He toured with Led Zeppelin and helped with light set-ups. Bill is survived by the following: Wife, Brenda Good Lushbaugh of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Meghan Lushbaugh of Idaho Falls; Step-son, Christopher (Ashley) Purdie of Rigby; Step-daughter, Shannon Burnett of San Diego, CA; Sisters: Linda Gran and Annie (Bill) Kenner both of San Diego, CA; Brothers: Robert (Donna) Lushbaugh of Yorktown, VA and David (Ola) Lushbaugh of Mentone, Alabama; 7 grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho. A Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Fielding Memorial Cemetery with Bro.
