Obituary

William Weaver Raldolph, Jr., 77, of Rigby, Idaho, died November 15, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born August 23, 1929 to William Weaver Sr., and Mabel Randolph in Rigby, Idaho. William Weaver, mostly known as W. W. or Randy, was an only child.

W. W. grew up in Rigby and Pocatello, Idaho. He attended Idaho State University until 1951 when he was drafted in the U.S. Army serving in Austria until the spring of 1953. W. W. married Patsy Ann Adamson on September 19, 1953, and they made their home in Pocatello, Idaho until 1956 when they moved to Idaho Falls. They remained in Idaho Falls until 1988 when they moved to the home W. W. built in Rigby where he lived until his death.

W. W. worked for Mountain Bell, AT&T, and Qwest as a lineman, cable splicer, installer, and retired as a manager in 1983.

W. W. was a past Member of the Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Telephone Pioneers.

W. W. began building his family summer home in Island Park in 1967 and completed it in 1975 where many a fun summer was spent with his family.

W. W. was an inventor, there wasn't anything he couldn't repair or rebuild. Two of his inventions, a snowmobile cargo sled and a motorized float tube, were put to the test many times.

W. W. was an adventurer, hiking and camping for a week to pan gold celebrating his 50th birthday at the top of the Sawtooth Mountains above Grand Jean, Idaho. W.W. walked many miles of ground, hunting big game and sage hens. He celebrated his 70th birthday waterskiing with his children and grandchildren. W.W. enjoyed many games of golf at the Rigby Golf Course with his good friend, John.

W.W.'s dream was to own a plane to enable him to fly it over to see his children and grandchildren in Kennewick. W.W., we know you're flying the fastest, biggest plane there is. W.W. you will be dearly missed.

W.W. is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann of Rigby, Idaho; son, Steve (Sherry) of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Cynthia F. (Dennis) Rains of Kennewick, Washington; grandchildren, Emily (Ryan) Sullivan, Abigail (Jordan) Hays, Matthew Rains; and a great-grandson, Canaan Hays all of Kennewick, Washington; granddogs, Oliver, Coco Puff, Jazmin, and Hunter of Idaho Falls; Daisy and Buck of Kennewick; and Aunt Charlotte of Sequim, Washington. W.W. was preceded in death by his parents.
