Obituary

William "Bill" Robson passed away Saturday June 3, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 27, 1946, to Thomas and "Glenny" Robson. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School and attended many universities, finally earning his degree from the University of California Riverside.

He was passionate about many things, including theater arts, astronomy, earth sciences and physics. He devoted his middle years entirely to his children, coaching both of them and their teams in hockey and soccer. He never hesitated to sacrifice his time and resources for his family. Forced to retire early from the INEL due to health problems, he spent his remaining time studying a wide range of subjects from cosmology to comparative religion. He judged himself by how much he didn't know, despite being dubbed by his children "the smartest man alive." Despite the pain of these latter years, he retained his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He will truly be missed.

He joins his parents, a sister, a brother and his youngest son in death. He leaves behind a sister, Jeanie Robson-McCoy (Jim) and a son, Matt Robson.

The funeral will be held 2:30pm Saturday June 10, 2006, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. A gathering will take place immediately afterward at The Sandpiper.

The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Humane Society, as he was an avid animal lover.

Funeral arrangements have been under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
